WHITE FILLINGS

White fillings are used in cosmetic dentistry and are known as dental inlays and onlays and dental bonding with composite. Treatments can often be completed in a single visit. Dental composite is a tooth coloured mouldable material with a paste like consistency made from acrylic resins and a variety of filler depending on the type used.

For larger cavities CAD/CAM CEREC™ technology is used to produce ceramic fillings (inlays) which are digitally cut while you wait. The advantages of Cerec™ is both strength and aesthetics and can be fitted in the same visit.

Bonding is used for a variety of cosmetic dental procedures including:

• Filling dental cavities
• Replacing old metal or amalgam fillings
• Repairing broken and chipped teeth
• Closing gaps between teeth
• Reshaping uneven teeth
